It is so rewarding and fun to create hand made accordion-style books. You can customize them with the paper you like, use all types of fabric and fill them with sketches, poems, or like me, with collages. I love the spontaneity of this technique, the patterns, and unlikely shapes just make me smile! I am a mixed media artist and love to paint, sketch outdoors, and build my own canvases, and Leperellos!

Class description

First part - Build a Leperello

I will share with you how to build your unique Leporello step by step and talk about the materials to use.

Second part - producing collagepaper

Stamping, laying, creating patterns. We will do all this, using a Gelli plate. You will end up with a nice stock of collage papers.

Third part - Creating collages

At this stage, we will rip and cut paper, assemble fun images, add poems, and finish our creations with other medias.

  • What if I don't have a gelliplate

    You can create prints by using stamps or materials that have texture directly on paper. If you do like creating your own collage paper after visualizing this class, I can highly recommend a gelliplate. Ther is so much more you can explore with it.

  • For how long do I have access to this class?

    For as long as I give online classes but a minimum of 2 years. (The videos are downloadable, so you can keep them a lifetime.
